Abigail Douglass is the Partnerships Lead at ELIXR Simulations, where she builds strategic relationships across industry, education, and community to expand the adoption of immersive technology in Alberta and beyond. She first joined ELIXR as Operations Lead, bringing a strong foundation in nonprofit leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem building. Her career has spanned social services, higher education, and government, with a consistent focus on creating accessible, community-driven pathways for learning and innovation.

Now fully immersed in the world of VR and AR, Abigail is passionate about helping partners explore meaningful applications of immersive tech and supporting the growth of Alberta’s XR workforce.

Her favourite XR experience so far is Hello, Dot, mostly because it gives her strong Neopets nostalgia and reminds her how fun it is to discover new virtual worlds.

Outside of ELIXR, Abigail is dedicated to community building and inclusive spaces. When she’s not volunteering, you can find her at a board game café, experimenting with new cocktails, or exploring local food and breweries around the city!
