Andrea Urbina is a strategic leader with a decade of experience in operations, communications, and program development across the non-profit, post-secondary, and healthcare sectors. As CEO of ELIXR Simulations, she oversees initiatives that drive the adoption of immersive technologies in education and healthcare.

Andrea has led the expansion of ELIXR’s Protégé Program, resulting in the creation of over 30 paid work-integrated learning opportunities for students and recent graduates exploring careers in extended reality (XR). She is a passionate advocate for talent development, with a focus on building pathways that connect emerging professionals to mentorship, hands-on learning, and meaningful industry experience.

Previously, Andrea played a key role in launching the Peter Lougheed Leadership College alongside the Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell, further cementing her strength in developing programs that foster innovation and leadership. At ELIXR, she continues to champion collaborative innovation while supporting the next generation of XR creators and changemakers.

When she's not exploring virtual worlds, Andrea enjoys honing her culinary skills in the kitchen and watching horror movies.
